Burghley House, one of the largest and grandest houses of the first Elizabethan Age which was built and mostly designed by William Cecil, Lord High Treasurer to Queen Elizabeth I, between 1555 and 1587 was the setting for Hazy and Marc's Civil Wedding. 160 guests traveled from as far afield as USA to celebrate the day with the happy couple.

The gardens and parkland that you see today at Burghley were largely designed by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown in the 18th century. Today, sweeping vistas down to the spires of Stamford with the backdrop of the House create the perfect canvas for weddings.
After the ceremony and the formal shots were taken, we took the newly married couple on a whistle stop photo shoot around the gardens and parkland finishing up at the impressive 'Devils Staircase'. We even managed to capture the happy couple with the designer/builder at the life size Tie-Fighter that was commissioned by eBay to celebrate the release of the new Star Wars movie, The Force awakens. A must for these Sci-Fi fans!
We stayed with the bride and groom capturing the Wedding Breakfast, cake cutting, first dance and well on into the evening with the guests rocking out with a 1950’s swing band in the Orangery restaurant. A beautiful end to the 2017 Wedding Season.
